Checking in on the Caps “Movember” ‘staches
John Erskine and Karl Alzner show off their mustaches after practice on Saturday. One of them shot a puck at the boards to get my attention before they posed for the picture.
7 members of the Washington Capitals are growing mustaches during the month of November to support the Movember charity, which supports programs that help fight cancers affecting men. The Caps play their last game of the month tonight so we checked in on the status of their ‘staches.
John Erskine:
Erskine’s epic handle bar mustache has brought along a scoring touch to the big, burly defenseman. The 30 year-old Kingston, Ontario native has notched 5 points including 3 goals during the month of “Movember.”
Karl Alzner:
His playoff beard in last year’s Calder Cup Finals was legendary, so one might expect the Alzner would make DC proud with his ‘stache.
